Is there a difference between the 2.5 four cylinder, and 4.0 six cylinder intakes? I've looked at both and they seem pretty close to me. I been thinking about doing the 4.0 throttle body swap and doing a cold air intake at the same time, but the selections are pretty slim for the 2.5. Any thoughts?

From what I've read, CAIs are mostly snake oil. The stock box does a respectable job filtering a sufficient amount of air for the engine. You could add a few holes to the stock box, above the filter, if you think more airflow will help.
I have heard that the 4.0L TB swap does help the 2.5 a bit.
Additionally, I've had a K&N on my CJ. I've looked at the openings in that type of filter... I'd never run one of those again. The paper element filters much more efficiently. Filters like K&N are an expensive way to allow dirt into your engine ;)

JeepForum is a good place to research this swap and CAIs.

I put a few hole in my air box, but I put them below the filter so the air would flow through the filter element. ;) :)

Ya, I meant "before" the filter...
    Thanks for clarifying :)
