I have a 65 CJ5 with the stock 9" front brakes. I have all the parts do do an 11 inch conversion except for the hoses. New wheel cylinders and shoes. Can I use the current hoses or do I need longer ones? If so what size/length? Drums clear my wheels just fine. Looks pretty simple.

Dunno but would like to hear how best to do this upgrade myself. Did you buy a new kit or parts of other?

A good friend recently upgraded fronts to the 11" drums then someone gave him a disk set up so I got the drums and backing plates, amost un used.
I understand Herm has a kit for about three hundred bucks complete.

I typically remount the hose lines and get ones that fit a 70s era CJ. Most of my 'conversions' are flatties so having a bit of trouble remembering exact for the 5s. I'll see if I have part numbers in my book later.
