I used my home-made puller to take off the rear hubs from the wagon. The puller is ugly, but functional.

the driver’s side had only three remaining studs (I didn’t twist them off!), so I had to weld a bolt onto one of the stubs to use the puller. It took three attempts but I really burned the third bolt in, and it held. A four-pound hammer on the end of the puller convinced the hub to let go.

I’ve been waiting for the plasma cutter to be repaired, but got a call that the fix was about the same cost as a new one. So, the cutoff wheel came into play.

    Now to order new parts…

Installed a 12 volt defroster fan, some new gauges and new speakers in Snowshoe. I love having the radio in the glove box. It has an app for the phone to make the phone into a remote!

Looks like a good idea. Have you noticed that you have a loose header bolt?

Not loose. It has a double washer on it. I think they are Nordlock washers.
Thanks for the input. I definitely checked with a wrench to be sure.

I used these on my radiator hoses...better than the worm gear style. Summit Racing.

Cut up a couple 3'x4' rubber mats from Home depot to use as floor coverings.

Got a gauge and Tested the fuel pressure from the pump.

And finally/embarrassingly.... Attempted to clean out the oil bath air filter. Wasn't sure what "solvent" to use so I used brake cleaner. Big mistake.....
It ended up taking off the finish hahhaa. Looks like this unit was previously repainted by the PO. I guess I'll be refinishing it in the future. For now, I'm embracing the patina

FC1E9506-22B6-4B8E-B3D1-9E984AB80F65.jpeg Cleaned and painted with added ground wire. Now it goes in the box with the speedo I got from @mike starck to wait for a new wiring harness later this year (knock on wood). Anybody have a knob for the end of my switch?

After reading Donahue's book The Unfair Advantage, and reading Penske's policy of painting chassis and suspensions gray, I've adopted a similar philosophy. Works great for spotting leaks and cracks plus gray reflects light much better than black leading to greater under car visibility.

I will leave my frame black, it will need some contrast!

When I rebuilt Tonk I was seriously considering painting the insides of the frame rails gray, I didn't but I kick myself every time I'm underneath squinting to see something :(

There needs to be a Ford vs Ferrari style movie made about Mark Donohue, American Motors and Penske.

I really liked the look after I blasted them, so I was trying to match a cast iron look. This is “Chrysler Anvil.” The secret sauce is that I have absolutely no eye for color, so I did what the expert at the auto paint shop recommended. I painted my frame black. I need to hit the frame with another coat to get into the nooks and cranny’s. I hope to have a roller within a few weeks. Glad you guys like it. I appreciate all the help this forum has given me.

I bought a universal winch plate form tractor supply on the way to work today.

Hopefully this weekend I can work some magic and form it into a mounting setup for my Koenig 100...fingers crossed.
