This oil was provided with my remanufactured 225 V6 engine from S & J engines out of Spokane, WA. My engine came with a 7 year / 100K mile warranty.
They recommended it for on-going use, and I have done just that. I'm using 10W-30.
The flat-tappet style engines require the high level of zinc. I don't want to use anything that would damage this engine. It runs great!
It's not always available, but I have enough stock on hand for about 2 years.
Most folks that use it have provided high marks and also recommend it.

Its fine oil. I think it's overpriced. I can get the Valvoline VR-1 10w30 cheaper here locally, and that's what I run in all my flat-tappet engines.

I run Brad Penn for my 231 Flat tappets . 10w 30 for your area. The money is minimal , as far as the protection & value that you get back. Run It, Religiously.

MY Choice is Lucas Hot Rod and Classic Oil in 10w-30wt. It has 2100ppm of zinc

I broke my engine in on Lucas Break in oil 10w-30wt with 3600ppm of zinc. Changed out the first jug at about 40 miles to get all the assembly lube out (I had a LOT of assembly lube and ST( in the engine to protect it as it was years between rebuild and start up) On the 2nd jug now at 1040 miles will change it out about 1200 miles. Should be early this spring.

I haven’t used that brand. We still have Brad Penn in the Falcon 460. It’ll get changed to VR1 simply because it’s more available at the local parts stores. The Cleveland gets 30wt VR1 and the VW 2110 gets 50wt VR1. All the old tired motors get whatever is cheap.
