    The installation procedure for wiring the factory horn on an early CJ5 was not clear to me, nor was the procedure laid out clearly here, or on YouTube. From guidance from other members, particularly OldPappy, I’ve added this brief how to video for future owners or restorers. I hope this clears up any confusion or questions.

    I realize the disc under the rubber cap is brass, not copper.

    I’d never actually filmed a how to video, and up until buying Dorris in 2019, I’d never worked on a vehicle anywhere close to this vintage. I was actually a bit surprised a YouTube video wasn’t available. Even with my years of doing 12v electrical I actually couldn’t figure out how this horn worked, so it sat in a bag for nearly 2 years. Yesterday I finally tore the bag open, connected everything and was quite surprised it all worked correctly.
