    I'm cleaning house and have a large assortment of nuts and bolts. Some are grade 5 and 8. 99.9% are SAE band never used.

    $150? Plus shipping. Not sure how many flat rate boxes it will take.

    Do you have any rough idea at all what shipping would cost to NH (zip 03221 area)?

    I was thinking same thing…

    but ziplock bags are cheap. And i wonder how many flat rate boxes… and how much the post man would strongly dislike you after delivery…

    My plan is zip lock bags in flat rate boxes. My biggest worry is if the boxes will hold up. They'll probably need a half a roll of strapping tap on each box.

    I'll try to pack them and see.

    I managed to get everything except the 5/8" bolts into a large flat rate box. The problem is it weighs in between 50 and 60 pounds.

    There's no way the box will stay together.

    packing tape with fiber strand reinforcement all over the box should do it :) I've sent a transmission in a cardboard box before. :lol:

    Cardboard box with a plywood liner. Maybe some coats of fiberglass the inside of the box.

    I have a customer that sends small machined parts from Big Lake, Alaska to Los Angeles in .50 cal ammo cans stuck inside the USPS one rate boxes. I process his parts and return after plating. We individually bag the parts and pack (over pack) to avoid shipping damage to the finished parts but the boxes with ammo cans ship fine. My customer has tried different methods says this is the least expensive way to go. He is paying the bill so I follow his lead. YMMV

    Managed to squeeze it all into a large flat rate box...67 pounds...the postal clerk asked if there was a cash register in the box. I told him no. Just some cookies.
