Hi all. I thought you'd enjoy seeing the productive outcome from a still-unfinished FC-170 project. I had a '58 FC-170 that had a seized engine. The cylinder head looked too cool to scrap with the junk engine, so I made it into an industrial-looking light/lamp.

A machinist buddy machined out the back, which reduced the weight from 41+ lbs. down to 16.5 lbs., or something close to that (I made this years ago). I still have the lamp, and it'll be hanging soon in the small house I'm building.

The rest of the FC project? A guy from Texas bought it several years ago, and while he's done just a little to it, it's still sitting as of a couple weeks ago. I still check in with him periodically to see where things are at. It's definitely not a "purists" type project, as I was mounting the cab on a 2008 F-350 dually chassis, and had a Cummins 12v to install mid-engine. The brown leather interior was from a Jeep Commander. Hopefully someday it'll hit the streets again.
