Anyone have some D27 set-up bearings they wouldn't mind loaning out? I am happy to pay shipping and return etc....figured I'd check here before trying to turn my old bearings into set-up bearings the hard and imprecise way with a small grinder etc.
    thanks!

Use a drum sander on a drill and make your own. You don't have to remove a lot of material. Test fit as you go and they
will be close enough and that's what you are aiming for. May need some final adjustment before putting new bearings in.
It doesn't take that long are they are trash anyway.

Yep. I did my D44 ones with a sanding drum on a Dremel. Took maybe 15 minutes.

What they said. Make double darn sure the inner race is completely cooled when test fitting. The sanding/grinding heats it up causing it to expand. Flushing the grindings out with spray brake cleaner helps with cooling also.

I used a brake hone to make a set for a D44. Probably a lot slower than a sanding drum but worked well.

Rebuilt a Trac-Loc once. Jeep went places that used to take four-wheel drive. Lasted about 5000 miles. No additive used.
The Powerlock is the way to go. Hope you kept your old shims separate so you try the old set-up first to have a place to
    start when doing your set-up.
