I read that if one were to purchase an Amx, it’s best to buy one complete due to limited support for aftermarket parts. As for distance, just trying to keep within a 5 hour drive, closer the better.

I have spent HOURS looking online, seems like the market has been picked over and crap remains, and people asking incredible prices for scrap metal:(

The grille/front end looks better than some of the Virgil Exner era Mopars.

I like it, but I assume you are going to replace the 6 with something more potent?

Looks pretty good for an old 225. When I had my 66 Valiant, it sat for a little while beside our barn. Went out one day, it wouldn't start, popped the hood and there were 6 baby rats/mice on the intake~ eeeee

There are some really fine articles and build pics of high performance slant sixes, just have to have room for an AC compressor~ I just always despised where the distributor is on these. I remember my father showing me how to change the points/condensor out, I was a genuine grease monkey at that moment~

It definitley would be different~ everyone puts in a hemi (which I'd like), or something crazy, but a slant six would be a nice talk piece;) Gary's saying, you haven't even bought it yet! but me, it's fun to dream;)

Slant Six is nearly indestructible. I know it is a great engine. I didn't know you could hot rod them up.
    This in interesting.
When I was 10 to 12 years old my dad and I used to bid on surplus military equipment on sealed bids. We bid on an old 4 door (1963-64) dodge Powerwagon pickup. 1970's and we bid a Whopping $1000.00 bid. It went for about 3K. We thought that was crazy money back then. A friend said the slant six was worth a lot.
    Solid platform that's for sure.

Now I wish I could buy one for that money.
The Dodges were sure built well.

Find a 340 for it or just keep the 6 and go Uncle Tony on it. The grill would look better with the right color.

Car weighs in at about 2900lbs and with the V8 around 3000lbs. Should make a it a pretty good runner.

Well, I've decided to take the trailer to Waco area this Friday, seriously look at this '62 Dart which I have shown earlier in this thread. I do want a challenge. If it's just missing a couple floor pans, I can live with that. We'll see;)

I may not be able to do the perfect job as below, but I could make it look darned good!;)

The write up is below this picture; reference for me.

Up for sale is an awesome Pro-Touring 1963 Dodge “ Hemi” Dart GT. I started with a rust free Arizona car that was subjected to a complete tear down and rotisserie restoration. It has had sub frame connectors welded in along with widening of the rear wheel tubs to allow for the big rear tires. 90% of all the chrome and stainless has been removed. and what remains has been powder coated satin black. The body was smoothed to perfection then painted Lexus Sage Green metallic using PPG paint. The drive train consists of a 2005 5. 7L Hemi crate engine (it had zero miles) backed by a 2005 Ram 5 speed automatic trans along with a Currie 9” rear axle. It has Billet Specialties Apex wheels wrapped in BFG rubber stopped by Wilwood discs at all 4 corners. No expense was spared in building this car. it took 4 years to complete and has been completed for 3 years and driven a little over 9000 miles. This Dart is so unique. it stands out in the crowd wherever you go. if you looking for something different than this is the car for you. The only reason I’m selling is to finance my next project. If you have any questions. please feel free to ask before bidding. or if you would like to arrange a viewing. just let me know. The car does have a couple minor imperfections. and a couple small things that need completion.
