    I love puzzles!
I always thought I would love to have one, but would probably not leave it stock.

NOS grill and two NOS fenders. They have the wires from the paper tags still attached. Unfortunately no tags. My grandson says all we need is tires.

The hood came from EL KAHIR in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Are you going to use the flat nose or pointed nose on the VJ? I think the transition was sometime in the 1950 model year.
Great to see some NOS parts turn up. There was a Jeep business over near Tampa (Bradenton), FL that had quite a few NOS parts squirreled away, but the owner would never come off them, then he died. Relatives were trying to sell off the whole lot for retail+ pricing a couple years back. I wonder where they went?

I think that's going to be a tough decision. The NOS parts are nice and straight. No cracks to be repaired. The V nose grille, fenders and hood are nice as well but will require a bunch of sanding, welding and a bit of straightening. The patina hood will require less work than any of the other three that came with the purchase. I think it will depend on how much of the rest of the Jeepster I can keep original. I still have a lot of parts to pick up and go through.
There is no wiring left and I have not seen what is left of the instrument cluster. It's a lot to decide. First priority is to start it up. The engine is not stuck so I don't think it will require much to get it going. Famous last words....

It took a while but the parts are pretty well all here and Jim finally landed at my house.
New tires so it can roll.

I let the parts purchasers decide which front end to use. I had both front clips for sale and the newer style sold. Lucky me - I will install these NOS fenders and grille. That's what I was hoping for.

I think it needs Diplomat police wheels and slightly wider tires on the rear.

I have a NOS hood spear and grill chrome so it should make it look a little happier.

I have noticed that when you buy a Jeep in pieces that there are a lot of boxes, coffee cans and buckets. I guess zip loc bags and sharpies were not invented when this was disassembled. (1999) It will be interesting to see if it is all there.

I’ve got an extra 4WD Wagon frame to drop that body onto if you want to make your VJ a 4 wheel drive version. I always wanted to build one! Good choice on the flat nose, especially with the trim.

Today was a good day. Chased a few gremlins associated with two defective coil wires from my FLAPS. I ended up using new plug wire ends and a NOS wire that came in the box of parts to make my own coil wire. The carb was leaking so a rebuild is in order. This was exciting although I don't really show it here.

Thought about recreating the Name/Logo on the painted hood?

It's something to consider. That would cover up the marginal paint job.

Thanks. Those fenders about drove me nuts. Black underneath, white on the inner fender and yellow outside. When you forget to mask over one little hole in the fender the overspray seems to travel well. So when the 2nd fender comes around and you think you have it all covered.....you don't. It seemed like a great idea before I started. Live and learn.

I did mine similarly with three colors. I like the finished product just not the work to get there.

When I bought my 50 Jeepster it came with a few NOS parts. In addition to the grille and two front fenders there were these lights. The boxes are kinda cool as well.

NACO-3 ea. They all have the window to illuminate the license plate.
