Are they made from 1/4" or 5/16 plate for the centers?

I will donate hood badges, I have an extra set if she needs hood badges. I gave my V 6 badges away a few years back. Rick.

I never owned a set of Jackmans for a Jeep, but still have my set of custom offset 4 lug VW Jackmans I bought new that I can measure tomorrow. -Donny

Just went down to the garage to measure my VW Jackmans; 0.3100” or 5/16” thick centers.
I need to sandblast these and get some good paint or have them powdercoated.

Chevrolet sent 3 then new Corvairs driving from the US to South America back in 1961 or 1962, including blazing a trail through the Darian Gap. This was an advertising campaign to prove the ruggedness of the cars. A couple Napco pickups carried supplies and provided winching. The cars drove themselves through the vast majority of the trip, and were pretty beat up, but all three made it.
The Upton’s CJ5 likely followed some of the same trails driven years earlier by the Corvairs.
A number of years ago, the Corvair Club magazine “Corsa” had a write-up of the journey, and there are video clips of the GM-documented trip on-line. Search “Corvairs through the Darian Gap” to see how rugged the route was.

I asked her about the gap and they reportedly paid the locals and chopped there way through using the cj to carry tools and supplies. I don't think the corvair trail would be traceable unless someone came through regularly. That's a long time in the jungle between Expeditions.

    Wikipedia...

" The first vehicular crossing of the Gap was made by three Brazilians in two Ford Model T cars. They left Rio de Janeiro in 1928 and arrived in the United States in 1938. "

    Ten years!
