When i drove the jeep over to the drive way i heard a grind in the drive train . it is the trans or the TC . I started a thread to see where to start and once the weather clears i will look at the top of the trans and then take the cover off the TC. I hope i can figure it out !!! I do on a good note get some more body bolts in and have the 2 left on the riser . I am about an inch lower on the passenger side of the cowl than the driver . I am thinking the floor shifted when i took it off i will shim it for now !

Today i took off the top of the tranny . Looked good and milky . When i drained the gear oil instead of oil i got 3/4 water 1/4 oil . Water got in when the tub was off . I still have the noise . I am going to remove the T case cover as soon as i can.

Rebuild kit came in yesterday . I have been fighting the front pinion yoke nut all week . Had to buy a impact wrench . Then a long breaker bar worked ! watching lots of videos on how the trans goes together . Also looking at the t case for anything worn and needs replaced . Right now all i can find is the oil seals and gaskets . Shew !

The throw out bearing spring is gone ! Where i don't know ! I have one coming . Mean while i am going through the wiring . Boy I have found some patch work here . I ran new wires to the tail lights . The spartan turn signal switch has been rigged a couple times . I will solder and heat shrink the bad spots on it . I did put the front bumper on it looks pretty good . i will take some pics tomorrow if it does not rain . Right now the spring has me puzzled ? Where did it go ? it was not in the bell housing ,clutch, or fly wheel ?????????

It must have been hidden behind the bottle of Sriracha in the fridge door. Finding that missing part always improves your outlook about the day.
