This will be my first attempt at bringing a dead Jeep back to life.
To start with I sold this Jeep 6 years ago to pay for a surgery that my baby daughter had to have. I remember the crappy feeling I got when I watched my prized possesion back out of the driveway and roll on down the street. I knew that I should have kept it and just made payments instead of just scrounging up the bucks and paying in full. To make a long story short , after years of trying to buy it back I finally suceeded . I got it back after it had been tore all to @#$% and would not run. And I paid the same price as one that that was pretty much ready to hit the trails, but I got my baby back along with all the memories.
I have collected most of my parts and just got to get out to the shop and get after it.
So here are my plans - 4.5 YJ springs , Dana 30 swap with disc brakes and locker. Herms Dana 44 full floater kit ,disc conversion and OX locker along with a little extra wheelbase. An SM 420 swap with transfer case and overdrive rebuild. New seats, paint, wiring, tub notch. I'll fabricate bumpers and whatever else that comes my way.
    So here it goes!http://i789.photobucket.com/albums/yy176/Miller_Killer/Jeep002.jpg

Very cool.. Glad you got your baby back. I can't wait to go drag mine out of the barn it's been stashed in and get back to work on it. I am hoping to get it back where it belongs this summer!

FYI - If you run into issues with the OX lockers for the rear, you may need a spacer as some of the older D44s don't set the ring and pinion as deep in the case. I made one for my rear D44 to push the cover out a touch (would have to measure it as it's not comming to mind right now) and have had no issues with it.

Did a little bit to my cj in the last 2 days

http://s789.photobucket.com/albums/yy176/Miller_Killer/ Built shackle hangers and did my yj spring conversion. Built a bumper. Not sure if I like it as I built if off of my bad memory. After it was done I found a picture of what I was building and they were a bit different. Tore my rearend apart for the locker, full floater and disc conversion. Almost got my transfer case rebuilt. If I only had a dial caliper. Installed the Dana 30 and replaced the spring perches. Cant wait to pull everything off of frame so I can clean it up and weld out the hardware that I have tacked in place. I ordered some more parts today and I plan on putting some long hours in soon.

Here is my bumper, I'm not sure if it is going to stay. I may modify it or scrap it and start over.

After splitting the sheets with my wife, I took a very long break. I started working on my project a few weeks ago.[IMG]

I blasted and zinc primered the frame and axles. This will keep the rust at bay.[IMG]

Getting it back to being a rolling chassis. Feels good to put parts on, instead of removing them.[IMG]
