Hello, I'm getting ready to install my new rear gas tank in my '71. unfortunately I did'nt take pictures of this area when I tore her down.

How was the tank installed? with any rubber bushings? I have two 'Z' shape hangers for the two rear corners, and a mount in the center front which goes on the rear cross member.

Also, does anyone know where I could find the gooseneck fill hose?

    Thanks, Rob

    Hi Rob,

I don't recall any rubber bushings. Tank needs to be grounded to the frame in order for the sending unit to work, so I just bolted mine to the frame. I also don't recall any "Z" hangers, but perhaps I just forget lol. The 2 bolts in the corner and the one in the center are all I can remember.

4WD Hardware has that gooseneck gas filler hose, part number 992965 for $20.95. HTH!

You should also be able to get the filler hose from Four Wheel Parts Wholesale www. 4wd.com
