Mounted the top this morning and cleaned it up. There is a 2 inch over hang on 3 sides to give me a place to clamp work down. The last side is where the gas bottle is mounted.

I made the plasma grate over a year ago when I first bought my plasma cutter and started laying out the plans for a table.

    Fits like a glove.

Really nice work! Is the grate a squeeze fit?

No, it will have supports under it when I get the shoot built to catch the slag and sparks. Its just a really snug fit right now. A light tap with the heal of your hand will knock it out of the hole.

Great job. I am going to need something like that for some of my planned fab projects.

Finally got a couple of good pics of my finished welding table.

It holds the welder/gas bottle/plasma cutter/extension cords and tools. The bright metal box under the table top on the right is the catch basin for the plasma grid.

On the end of the table on the catch basin there is a vent to help keep smoke out of your face and a gate at the bottom that allows you to clean the slag out.

"Nice table" Maybe a bar or rod about 4" below the top (leg to leg)would be a great place to Hang your "c" clamps. I find it very handy place close and easy to reach:)
