I have a 72 Renegade that I am going to have to replace the floors, front and back, along with the hat channels and the rear panel on the tub. The other panels are all salvageable although all of them will need some repairs as well. I have tried to search for a picture or drawing with measurements shown, but it doesn't seem like there is anything available for my model year. I think I am going to work from the rear of the tub to the front, since the new rear floor will have the frame mounting points already attached, and it "should" be pretty easy to get it welded into the right place since there will (hopefully) still be 3 surfaces for it to match up with.

What I need to find is some dimensions on where the hat channels will need to be placed on the underside of the new front floor panels. My floor is so badly deteriorated under all of the tin patches, that I don't think I could trust any measurement that I could get from it. I thought about flipping it over and laying the frame upside down on top of it to line it up with the body mount points, but I don't know if the cowl portion would stay square with the entire front floor gone. It also wasn't stable enough to brace it before removing the body from the frame, or I would have rigged up a rotisserie and went from there.

I am planning to get my panels from Classic Enterprises, but the front floor panels are made with extra material on the front and inner edges. I guess that the rear outer corners should fit into the corners where the sides meet the rear floor riser, so that should help to keep the tub squared up all the way to the cowl, but that wont help to get the hat channels located into their proper place.

So, does anyone know of a resource that shows where the hat channels go on the bottom of a 72?
Anyone have any good pictures of theirs?
Has anyone had to replace the whole floor and would like to give any recommendations as to how they went about it?
Do the body mount bolts go through the top of the floor? Mine are all so bad that I couldn't really tell how each bolt mounted the body to the frame.

@timgr You always seem to be able to direct people to the knowledge that is buried in the years of posts on this forum. Any ideas for me?

Here is what I am starting from. As you can see, none of the channels are good enough where I could reliably measure their location.

when i did the boys 70 it was even worse than that i put the floors all in and set the channels on the frame where they would bolt, placed the body on and bolted all the tin on to be sure it all lined up. used self drilling screws to temporarily hold it together for welding. Im doubtful measuring would get them spot on as everything is old and most likely bent to some degree.the factory had a large tolerance like plus or minus a 1/2 inch
