Need some help with this thing.....this is my first jeep, and I am learning quite abit about compatability of parts(to say the least). The PO had a (V6 compatible)bell housing on there that has more cracks in it then I can count. I have a original stock one to replace it, but it doesn't have a pivot stud installed. The one out of the old housing is not an option. My local jeep shop guru says that there are 2 thread size types(3/8 & 7/16). I have the 7/16. He can't locate one, and says he can fabricate one from a 3/8 unit. Is this common practice? I have a post in the classafied section, but wanted to post here as well for any additional advice or wisdom.
So the help I need is either a parts resource or a fellow jeeper is has an extra laying around that they might want to pawn off.
    Thanks,
    rick
