Part of the special Farm Jeep equipment was drive line shields that went over the drive shafts to prevent the roping. They are extremely rare.

One of my favorite stories was from a guy, who as a young kid was raking hay with the farm's Jeep. His dad told him to stay off the windrows. He didn't. He said after awhile the Jeep just kept going slower and slower and finally stopped. He freaked. He finally figured out that the hay was wrapped around the shafts and he said it took him an hour to cut it out with his little pocket knife.

Spent many a day just like that in my '56.
We raked with a doubler, rolled two swaths at once.
Baled with it once, but mainly pulled loaded wagons to the barn for unloading.
Usually avg 100 bales to a load at about 60lbs apiece, plus the weight of the wagon.
It'd push a little going down hills, but hey, you've got 4 nine inch brakes, what could go wrong??
Dad did get rid of the exhaust underneath and made a "tractor" style pipe off the manifold, complete with rain flapper.
Best "utility tractor" we had on the farm, when I redid it the front leaf springs (12 per pack) were about 50% broken.
    We used it hard..........
