Hi Gang, while scrounging through facebook marketplace, I came across this "camper trailer". I don't do the camping thing, but again, it's just interesting what people come up with;)

I don't understand why people make them soo tall and top heavy. That is better than this one but with the sacrifice of clearance. I don't call dragging a sidways trailer on a trail "fun".

I'm all for a roof top tent mounted low on a m416 but even that needs plenty of heavy goods strapped down inside the trailer.

This is a scene from one of the people I follow YouTube

There are ways to keep that from happening, or at least lessen the chance, but most guys are just doing a ball and socket, or plain old pintle hitch, and yeah, you can roll em over pretty easy.

$6850 would buy a lot of nights in nice hotels...

the taller you have it, the more stuff you can haul under it....but of course...if you don't have the ballast, you risk the possible roll over. these trailer are pretty heavy also....making for exciting times on the trails.

But that would be bad for your ‘overlander’ image.

And the last time I gave my jeep to a valet, he claimed he couldn't drive a stick.

I dont understand why people cram so much stuff to go overlanding. Your missing the point.
About 5 years ago 4 of us (two jeeps two bikes) did the continental divide trail (CDT). we kept it pretty simple I was the only one with a mounted tent on my M416 behind at the time my 2.5L powered TJ. It was a slow drive on the freeway for me. Somewhere in CO the Triumph lost its clutch in the nasty clay like mud and we threw it in the back of the trailer and I took him to Denver. Got it fixed and we finished. It was simple, it was fun and anything we came up against it was a simple to overcome. I can still use my trailer as a trailer as the tent is mounted on a frame thats removable.
