Just my opinion, but something homebuilt is going to end up looking just really tacky and/or steampunkish looking, and will most likely be more disappointing than anything.

There are fake .50 and .30 Browning machineguns made from plastic that are made for vehicle mounted displays. They look great but aren't cheap. Someone probably makes propane .50's too, I have some photos of an M38 with an awesome dual .50 propane setup, but I'm on my phone and can't attach them now.

The place to ask/research would be the g503.com forum for military vehicles.

I was going to say just take that one but the blonde in the passenger seat clearly has that look that no man can recover from. ;)

Myself, I'd prefer the real thing, if we're talking about expensive pipe dreams! But I can't even imagine being the driver of a Jeep when someone was firing a real Ma Deuce. There ain't enough ear protection in the world to protect you from the muzzle blast of one of those big mothers. Sure are fun to shoot though!

In the long run the girls are FAR more expensive than a real Ma Deuce ;)

I have know those young ladys since they were tiny ,,,,and it's my fault I posted it .I wasn't thinking that pic all the way threw.......

and I'm leaning towards home brewed because I'm sure the cops will have a field day with me and a real-fake one for $660 is to much...... thinking Sucker Punch meets Steampunk

My dad has a weld-together 50 that we bought back in the 70's that is nice looking. He also has an oxy-acet simulator that fires and sounds good. It's not firing right now and need repaired. Not sure if it might be for sale, but money does talk lately. Or if anyone knows of someone that could repair this pm me. Both are mounted on our half-track (not for sale in my lifetime).

that mq 15 is pretty sick looks easier to mock up is it a short or long barrel?. don't want it in good condition since I will have to somehow make a jig to permently attach it so it doesn't disappear ?....and can you pm me a pic ?

Well it is my grand father's and is currently in his attic some where. I could still send a pic of it if I can find one.
It is water cooled and has a long barrel I think. Sorry mg 08-15 is what it is. Still not sure of the other mg; it is larger and heavier than the mg 08-15.
