Haven't worked on my Jeeps for a while. Had son in college, health set backs, loss of my father... life. Ready to get back to working on these Jeeps. The 1964 CJ5 is first on the list. I've got 3 T90's to rebuild. Wondering if anyone near me in North Carolina could help me get started on inspecting and rebuilding these. I've seen the videos, but thought if there is someone near by, I could save myself from learning the hard way.
Just looking for some advice and what to look out for.
If I install 11in brakes, can I run the stock wheels?

    Thanks,

    Dave

11" drum brakes, you can still run the stock wheels.

Sorry, not close to NC.. but I have done two t90s now. I have very little mechanical experience and found it to be pretty hard to mess up. Just take your time and go over everything twice before you install. If you have any questions feel free to ask them here.

Take lots of pictures to remind you of what goes where.

    Thanks for the replies.

I think I will do the 11 inch upgrade on the brakes if feasible.
I will have to tear down one of the T90's and see how it goes.
    Thanks,

    Dave

I will take a lot of pictures, also.

    Good advice.

    Thanks,

Some of the 11" drums have fins which may not fit all wheels, especially with riveted centers.

    Thanks for that information.

    I'll look for smooth drums.

    Thanks,

    Dave
