The number you are asking about is the casting number for the knuckle. I cannot make out what issue you are having installing the ball joints. All I can see is that it looks like one end is down and the other end is not fully seated. Is that the issue?

I forget which end, the top or the bottom gets the snap ring. Mine looked the same. I was able to get the snap ring on no problem, on the end it was supposed to go on, the other end doesn't get one because it is held in when you put the nut on it. If memory serves me, it is the bottom one that does not get the snap ring. The ball joint looks like that because of the casting but should not cause you any problems.
Someone, please chime in and correct me if I am wrong.

as long as the snap ring fits you should be good. the casting isnt totally flat in relationship to the hole the ball joint goes in.

Some applications, typically Chevrolet and others used the snap rings. Many did not but the ball joints were manufactured to fit both. Your knuckle is not machined to use the snap ring.
