Battery Brace??

    Is this brace that goes from the right fender to the battery hold down original? Is it necessary and should it be there. For the life of me I can't find it in my parts, but was in this original picture before I disassembled.

    New to me. That horn isn't OEM either, AFAIK!

    The battery is rigidly mounted to the frame.
    A body brace would neeed to allow for some flex.

    That is a Kattle Kaller installed by the PO. Keeping it as a tribute.
    I see your point about the flex issue. Unless there is a definitive answer the brace is original I'll leave it off.
