Most definitely, 1 wire alternators are for tractors and people that don't understand wiring. Somewhat kidding there.

I have a 75/304. The OEM Moto-crapola alt went south several years ago. I installed a CS 130 and rewired, Can't remember all the stuff I did but I got it done. I found a lot of info online.. If I find some I'll post it.. I did have to alter the mount to the block as it was too long.
If need be I can go out and trace where I put the wires. I know I eliminated the OEM voltage reg and used the hot wire for part of this. I also bought the alternator connecting plug at NAPA

Meh, I have been happy with one wire alternators. Have em on wood chippers, log skidders, trucks, Jeeps and tractors. Always charge just fine for me and I can't recall the last time I had to change one out, even using Auto Zone junk. I know the idiot light won't work but I have never been left stranded by one. To each his own.
