I know that some older (1950"s) chryler imperial wheels had the 5x5 1/2 bolt pattern. The centers needed to be turned out to fit the hubs, but can anyone advise what years and models these were on. They had small circles all around the wheel and they were steel.

If you are looking for 15" wheels, I have four from a 62 Jeep, but located in Langhorne, PA.

Cutting the center out of a wheel with a smaller hub may cause the wheel to crack around the bolt holes toward the center. Seen this happen back in the 60's.

Wheels usually have a rolled lip at the center of the hub, which reinforces the center of the wheel. Cutting the center hole larger removes this rolled lip. But then again, it is a jeep, and not likely high speed, like a ford 4-wheel drive pickup, but wheel could have stress under some off level conditions.

I had a set of these done this way about 30 jeeps ago in the early 70's just can't remember what year the Chrysler needs to be.

Many 70's - 80's Ford trucks & vans used a 5 x 5.5 bolt pattern, I had a set cut to fit Tonk. However Diggerjeep is correct about cutting them making them weaker, extreme provocation but indicative-
