Do you guys running the T98's behind the F heads have a standard transmission to crossmember mount? I'm swapping in a T98 in a 67 where a T90 used to be and am having a heck of a time. I'm using the same type of steel/rubber mount but when I bolt the crossmember to the mount and raise it in place the top of the transmission hits the floorboard long before the crossmember is anywhere near the frame. id the T98's have a bigger hole in the floor? I understand that spacers are necessary but I'm looking at maybe 3 inches or so- not good. Also, the T/C shifters are 4" further back than they used to be ( no surprise) but did Jeep run them that way or are they mounted differently to put them farther up where they should be? Different bracket, front bearing retainer..etc? Also, the transfer case snubber/mount/bolt-thru-donut
thing to the crossmember no longer lines up ( of course not) but what did Jeep do there?
I would LOVE to see a factory install. I know I can fab it if I have to but the factory already did so how did they do it?
    HELP!

    Re: Transmission Crossmember Spacer

    I have a (factory I think) T98:
    1. I do have some kind of rubber spacers, about 1.75-2" thick between the crossmember and frame.
    2. The T98 and T90 used different crossmembers entirely from what I have seen.
    3. The tunnel is also alot different, (I seem to remember a post with someone asking about their transmission cover for their T98 equipped jeep, they had pics/dimensions and everything, I'd search for it.)
    4. Even with what I think is a factory setup, the xfer case low/high shifter still makes contact with the edge of the hole it comes through. So again, (from what I have seen), even the shift levers end up in a different spot.

Keep in mind that the T98 is quite a bit longer/taller than the T90, especially with the spacers between the bellhousing and xfer case, hope this helps, good luck.
