    I believe the J-truck and Commando Had the J-shift pattern. The other sign is the CJ's had vertical pins on the shift rails, J-shifters are horizontal. Not trying to dis you just want people to know that a standard CJ shifter most likely won't work with those rails. They do make it nice for a twin stick conversion though.

    I actually forget where it came from but....
    yes the J shifter indicates late 70's Wagoneer or J truck.

    I just have too many parts that I'll never need.
    I have 4 other rebuilt transfer cases that I'll hang onto.
    3 of them are D18's and another is a D20.

    I got to thinking this TC must be from a Wagoneer because the speedometer is calibrated for 3.31 or 3.07 gears.
    That can be a good thing if one has 3.73 gears and tall tires.
