To even a metallic light coats applied cross ways to each other helps, I turn the pressure down a little and just dust the last coat in a few different directions from a greater distance and a faster pass to just let the flake hit the panel. I do all of the outside parts at the same time. Metallics are affected by air pressures and viscosity as well as temp and humidity. If single stage the last two coats go in without much flash time to allow for a good gloss.

isocyanate Can mess you up the first time you are exposed, I use to get medically tested every year when I was painting, I painted aircraft then, full suit and fresh air supply filtered. There is a after effect with ISO that you can react just by smelling it. Dangerous stuff I've know folks that can't paint anymore due to lung capacity being to low due to painting to long. Takes down how much air your lungs can bring in. Now a days if I smell it I get sick.
