Does anyone know the correct length of front rubber brake lines for 11" brakes?

I did a conversion, 9" to 11" and the hoses I used are a bit to long. I want to get some braided stainless lines but need the correct length. My jeep is a 1965 with the clip on the frame. Stock jeep, no lift.

    How long is too long?

Make sure you have enough room for flexing around.

Front and rear hoses should be just about stretched tight with the axles at full droop.
I need to verify the front hose measurement but I think the standard hose is 11" OAL.
Realise that the 11" drum is 1" closer to frame hose bracket than a 9" drum.

1" closer at full drop and 1" further at full compression?
If you have a measurement that has worked for you that would be great.

I forgot to check on stock wheel cylinder hose length.
I would swear its 11" OAL but as you know memory can be questionable.
Anyway I'm saying your ideal hose length would be 1" shorter than the standard length wheel cylinder hose if the jeeps suspension is standard.

Also keep in mind if your Jeep is stock there is a good chance the suspension has sagged at least some. That can make the hoses appear too long.

11" is the standard front wheel cylinder hose length.

so 11" frameclip to wheel cylinder. What are the threaded connections? Trying to get classic tube to build me a pair of braided stainless lines and they have no data. The brakes are from a 73.

Have you considered just buying a hose for a 1973 Jeep, and seeing if it will work? A generic hose for that app is $7 on RockAuto.

What a good Idea! I will try that and if it works send it off to classic tube. THANKS.
