    Hello all,

As part of my re-wiring of the jeep and adding some gauges and turn signal indicators, i am thinking of replacing my 2 prong flashers with 3 prongs so i can just attach the signal indicators directly to the flasher module. In doing a quick research i am wondering how the best way to pick which one to use thus amp rating?

So the turn flasher will need to handle front and back lamps on either side plus one small indicator lamp on dash. Do i just look up the amperage for 2 lights and the indicator and add them together since only one side will be on at a time? I assume it wont be much.

The hazard would have to be a little larger as it would have to handle all 4 lamps plus both indicators?

Flashers and indicators are normally fused at 14 amps.
Use Buss or Littlefuse SFE 14.
Fuse goes direct between the 550 flasher (12 volt) and the key switch “acc” terminal.
