I'm tired of my temp rigged flex exhaust going to order a head pipe.
From the head pipe back ???
I want it simple, and out of harms way.
I'm open to ideas, exit in front of rear tire or out the back?
    Pics would be nice.
Now I ant got no high teck suspension, but this 2 leaf YJ conversion flexes way more than I ever
Thought it would when I built it.
Simple and out f the way are my goals
Pics please from head pipe back?
And before I order one, are their any head pipe options I should know about?
    Thanks 20180822_113858.jpg

Can't believe no one has any exhaust pics? Stock routing would be ok?
    Thanks

Thanks for pic, I don't really need a kit.
I need to know where all the pieces run and attach.
I've ordered a stock head pipe, nos of eBay. 24$
I want it tucked n out of harms way as best I can.
Might go out the back, or might blow out in front of tire and not cross rear suspension.
I already have a couple choices on mufflers, leftover from other projects.
    Ideas for flexy jeeps?

If you run on the road you could regret that- exiiing ahead of the tires usually results in the exhaust gas being pulled into the tub.

go out past the tub in the back, and get a little 45 bend at the end to point it down or out. I had mine stop right at the back, and with the bikini top on, it just sucked all the exhaust up and into the jeep. made for a very discomforting ride.

+ the kits above are all pre bent and cut to come out the back properly.

This may or may not be helpful; not much of mine remains stock. I have a header, not a manifold, but I do still have the clutch linkage I went under. I then tucked it up in the frame and out the rear crossmember. I have a fair amount of cage work, so some loss in structure wasn't too much of a concern.

    My 30$ exhaust (kinda).
Bought head pipe, eBay, some old stock piece. 24$(wasn't rusty).
Found a 2.5 header muffler in the junk pile.
Used part of a dirt bike exhaust cone to get away from head pipe.
Had to buy 1 hanger and 1 adapter pipe,8$).
Ran it through the cross member, up next to tub (bout 3in clearence).
Turned down bout 3in from axle.

It's quiter now,( so much that I can tell it's time for a valve adj and new leaking gasketz),
But I get that dreaded drone at 30 40mph on hwy(Exhaust exit in front of axle is known for that).
Happy for now, might try to get it out the back someday? 20180901_113612.jpg 20180901_113527.jpg 20180901_113446.jpg 20180901_113421.jpg

You’ve done the hard part, extend it out the back and the noise should be gone.

I ordered rough country YJ 2.5in lift springs. I left the short one out, only used the long 2.
Welded new spring hangers on frame, being carefull about placement .
I weigh bout 165 lbs, when I climb on the step to enter, the jeep tilts 5-6in.
    Stock sprung cjs hardley move.
I can fly through the pasture fields on farm, great offroad. 20180902_170914.jpg 20180902_170920.jpg 20180902_170931.jpg

    20180904_145036.jpg 20180904_145022.jpg 20180904_144925.jpg More on YJ springs.
    Wall is 30in high.
    It was bout maxed out.
When climbing out to take pic , would almost rock on right front, and left rear.
But it ant just bout flex, I can fly through the farm fields(tromped by cattle) in 3rd gear low range.
It's soft kinda like an atv.
I'd highly recommend it to anyone considering new springs, could even go with stock height?
It is a job to weld spring hangers on,(best done on bare frame) but can be done without removal.
I measured a stock YJ for spring hanger distance between shackle and solid mount,
Worked out well as shackles are almost straight up and down.
Also try to get axle close to where it was, it ok to stretch wheelbase a tad, but much more than
    1in causes driveshaft length problems.

My friends thought I was nuts during build when they saw how soft the suspension was?
They all thought stiff springs equals rough trail capabilities ?
Now that have rode in, they have changed their opinion.

I dig this build. I’d have to swap fronts to HD for plow season, and swap back for summer.
