Hi guy's maybe this question has been covered somewhere but i can't find precise information about what i'm going to ask.

I always love my Cj5's but now that i'm a father of a little baby girl (7 month old by his time) i start reconsedering my future plan about my jeep. I been looking for year about doing a Cj6, convert my 5 to a 6 lenght. The extra 20 inch look very interesting since i don't have a lot a room to store stuff. Also i'm looking over JKU but they are pricey and since it will be more a daily driver i'm not very please with this idea.

The big question is, does the extra lenght make a big difference over handling on the road. I have already larger axle (59 wms) so it make already a big difference on the body roll. My cj5 has a good handling but my only complain is the short wheel base you have to be gentle with the steering when doing correction. I know some have made the move on their 5's so i want to know impression about the before/after on the handling. I know when off-roading it will make turn harder between three. But it's not a big deal because i use to ride with cherokee and other similar truck and they follow me without difficulties.

I still love the Cj, and i built everything under the jeep, it's reliable and i know i will invest more in modification on a JkU that the seeling price i can get for my trail ready cj5.

I want to stay in the 35-36" inch tire, maybe lowering the suspension 1-2 inch and work the fender. Make a good balanced truck (i read Tim comment on the unbalanced cj6 on other post).

Feel free to comment, it's always good to have other people opinion.
