I have been able to find a source for the FC gas pedal. Mentioned earlier was that they are available from several vendors. Is the gas pedal and mount just a CJ5 part that is repurposed for the FC? Any vendor and part numbers?

    Thanks....

no, it isnt an ECJ5 pedal. the original most closely resembles a willys pickup gas pedal, but even that needs to be trimmed down.
AFAIK, there are no aftermarket vendors with new replacements. ive looked and looked, and settled on a cheapy one size fits all hot rod gas pedal.
    no part number either.
there was a website once upon a time where FC'ers gathered. the forward forum. but its shut down, and all information lost to the ether.
facebook has a FC group, but they arent much help from what little perusing ive done there. i asked the community for a gas pedal and got no response.

if you find out different, let us know!

On the Kaiser Willy site 646509 looks correct. I know the bracket that fastens to the floor is correct. And the pedal comes off it at an angle, not straight which is correct. On Walcks 640720 also looks like it would work. Same floor bracket and angled pedal. The rod that goes from the pedal thru the floor is not attached to the pedal, it just rides/rubs on the back of it.

I used 1/16" aircraft cable, with looped and crimped. Ends, vs wire. To me, I'd worry the wire would kink too much.
