Looking to raise it another 1"-1.5" thinking maybe 1" body lift 1/2" shackle lift? I believe it already has a 2.5" suspension lift so I really don't want to rework that. Suggestions?

get a 4" spring lift. or what you said. also, think about tucking that muffler somewher else if possible, it could die on a rock.

4" inches is a lot in my book. 2.5" is subtle, 4" is definitely "lifted," at the expense of other factors.

Body lift is a crappy solution. Raises the center of gravity on the mounts I’ve seen them blow right off in a wreck.

do the intermediates all have the exhaust system there? it seems like a bad place, when these rigs are so commonly used off road, and the muffler could get hit hard by a rock and come clean off.

No. They originally run underneath. My 75 had em on both sides there. Tore the muffler off twice. Took it to a muffler shop and had em ran underneath.

The tub will be just as secure as stock if the body lift is done properly. A tub lift gives one a bit more space for all sorts of things, from engine clearance to a bigger fuel tank. My 3B has a lot of what you are proposing including 1/2 lift shackles and a 1" tub lift. With the Holbrook springs it has about 6" total. I did go with wide track axle widths and a rather stout front sway bar (with disconnects).

The exhaust will be just fine if you build some protection for it-which can double as rock sliders.

I’m sure it can be done safely but the truth is most aren’t. An inch isn’t bad but any more isn’t.
