    Jeep Panels Plus makes tailgates for those going civi.
    Need a trailer? I know where 7 are. two 416's one in NJ one in MA.
    Civi Bantam in Vt coming to NY next week. Buddy bought it to sell. Restored M100 airborne trailer in need of taillights, no tags. Three M100's in MA and maybe a military MBT in Kingstoon NY
    OK 8. Oh and a civi near me down the road. Forgot still have to talk to him about it.

    Really? $1350 without springs, axle, tires, wheels, lights, wiring, hitch, and paint?

    Dang! I didn't realize these things were so expensive. Really cool, but one could easily be in for $2K after everything was done.

    Yeah, by the time I had a frame made, bought a new floor and tailgate, and paid to have some body work done on it.

    You can buy cheaper. I just didn't. ;)

    Man! seeing this new tech forum about trailers really makes me wish I'd kept mine. And looking @ the prices of them, makes me think I just about gave it away.

    Oh well...I hope the buyer is pleased with it. Haven't heard from him but once since the sale.

    Yea, I'm all about the fixer upper. Definately can't swing one that's finished. That's why I'd sorta opt for the 416. A little cheaper and I wouldn't feel so bad modernizing it for my needs. But I like the round fenders so much better.

    You don't wanna know what I sunk into my "fixxer upper"...hence the title of this thread....

    BTW - fenders would be easy to swap. I prefer the round as well, but wouldn't pass up a good deal on a M416. A set of round trailer fenders like what i used on the Bantam were like $30.

    Aftermarket round fenders or something specifically for the Bantam ? I've seen fenders pretty sheep in the Northern Tool catalog. Guess this means I'm officially shopping for a cheap 416. Off the WTB sector.....

    Just plain old aftermarket trailer fenders are *very* close to the original Bantam fenders. IIRC they were the same width, 5/8" shorter overall, and visually the only difference is the Bantams had a "welt" on the inner edge where it met the body. It was a metal part of the fender but looked like a welt.
