Is This Good Still? Harmonic Balancer

Hello Jeep lovers! I was working on the engine and I was removing paint from it and when I got to the harmonic balancer and I was a little overzealous. I attached some pictures let me know your thoughts. The rubber looks good not dry or cracked. I have read a thread about the reproductions of these harmonic balancers not lining up with my engine/year/engine jeep. thanks for any help guys i appreciate it

 

Does the rubber have spring to it? Looks alright from the pictures.

 

Should be ok if the outer ring is not loose from the hub. Agree, rubber looks solid in the pictures.

Curious, are you asking because you think the rubber is deteriorated or do you believe there is some other damage?

 

I read that it’s not an easy part to obtain for my year/engine due to reproductions holes not being aligned. If I didn’t need to replace it then I’m glad to be able take real good care of it. I’ve actually got in contact with a company that specializes in rebuilds of harmonic dampeners and seeing how much it would cost to have mine repaired like new again. The warranty is good for 3 years just waiting on a quote now.

I Agree... It seems solid from the view from my Shop ? ( Wire Brush damage is superficial, IMHO.
