The two types of valve seals that we use are PTFE and the Vitron seal................both require the valve guide boss to be machined to accept the seal...........but not a costly Item to do..................the seals your looking at get hard over time and offer little very little sealing compared to there more modern counterparts.

Thank you-this will be a temp fix until they want to rebuild their motors or do a valve job.

Question, do the PTFE/Vitron seals last longer or ?

    Thanks,
    Jim

My son wants to put some brake lights (LED lights) on his CJ5.

Question, can he just install the newer LED brake lights, or does he need a relay or ?

I don't know the answer and thanks for the help,

    Jim

Maybe you should break this out into new threads for new questions? That would help members looking for specific information in the future.

LED lights have been covered a lot. http://www.google.com/#output=search&sclient=psy-ab&q=site:earlycj5.net+LED+brake+lights

Jr bought some flat fenders from www.ccfabs.com and we installed them today. Had to cut the inner fender etc. I will explain later, I'm tired.
    He paid $180.00 + $40.00 shipping.

We also cut down his front fender.

So here is a little teaser. I will post pics of the fab work involved to use these fenders.

You could split this into a build thread if not asking specific tech questions. It messes up future searches.

Going to install a AMC 360 and TF-999/Dana 300 in his Jeep.

Going to sell the 304/T-15/Ramsey Winch PTO/Dana 20 combo setup.

He found a '85 Waggy w/ 130K and 130lbs per cyl on a compression test.

Ok I tried to upload pics but it keeps timing out like it did w/the old Tapatalk.

Admin needs to look into this as far as I know.

I can use the old Tapatalk on other forums to upload pics and the pics on this post were uploaded by my iPhone/Tapatalk.

    ????

    Thanks,
    Jim

Are you hosting your pics through a hosting site?

Good luck with the build, and the sale. D20 PTOs are a bit scarce.

I do have my own hosting ( www.street2mud.com/gallery ) site but these were originally uploaded by my iPhone. Works everywhere else but here.

Thanks. Ya the PTO/combo is a good setup, I'm surprised no one has even inquired.

Both Tapatalk and TTalk HD do not work on this forum for some reason ??

I just checked earlycj5.com and that works but .net doesn't. weird.

It reads .com in the heading but then shows .net in the header very confusing and posting pics keeps timing out.
