I have a broken locking latch that I have rebuilt, I thought some of you would like to see what is inside.

This is a latch from a Chrysler product I believe around 1973

    This is what I have.

I took the Dodge latch apart and layed it out next to the Jeep latch that was incomplete. The housing is the same so I modified the non locking internal parts to fit the missing locking parts.

The part that needs to be modified is in the center of the photo. It is the latch ramp with the post, all you need to do is cut the post off of the ramped piece.

I then reassembled the parts to complete the latch.
