We finished all the bare metal work on the body and got a coat of epoxy primer on. I want to do a couple upgrades before we move on to the final body work.

I wanted to make a new seat mount bar to relocate the passenger seat in line with the driver seat. Finally got that off my list.

The last project before getting back on body work is fabricating some sliders. Here is what we have so far. Hopefully we will get those finished up today or tomorrow. Still lots of work ahead.

I'm really happy to see this Jeep come back after the "run and hit". Lots of folks would have given up after that.

Hahaha this made me laugh because it would drive my wife NUTS that the seats weren't the same, and I never got around to fiddling with it. Good job!

Wanna come do bodywork on my jeep next?

LOL. My wife hated it too! She even threatened to not ride in it if I didn't change it.

Attached to the floor or the frame? Please post a photo of the underside when you get it done.

Its to the frame. I really wish the exhaust was inside the frame rails. I'll get you some better photos. This is the only one I have that you can see a frame mount. I'm just using some scrap 2" box that I had laying around to build most of it.

Here are some photos of the underside. It's kind of hard to see what all is happening. I have to take them off to paint them. It should be a lot easier to see them when they are off.

Moving the Jeep back to my shop. I need a lot more space to disassemble and prep and paint everything, so we decided it was ready to come back home. I need to spend a day getting my shop/hanger reorganized so that I can be efficient. So today will be re-organize and clean day. Hopefully tomorrow I can get busy doing actual Jeep work.

Glad to see you getting it back on the road. Did you choose a new color? The one in your mockup drawing looks a lot like the blue I used. It’s a 2017 Jeep color called Chief Blue and it does change a bit depending on the light. Picture 1 is full Caribbean sunlight. Picture 2 is under the canopy. We did use a white epoxy primer to keep this blue as light as possible.

Not yet. I told my daughter she could help me choose the color since she is working on it with me. She really wants orange, but I feel like there are already a lot of orange Jeeps where we live and I want something different. I love the blue on yours. It's exactly what I was going for in my head. I'll show it to her and see what she says.

Thanks! I didn't know where those seats came from. They were in the Jeep when I bought it. I really like them.

My daughter and I are making good progress stripping the polyurea from the tub. There were a lot of troubled areas from welding repairs and the accident. So I decided to just strip it and start over. Its a good time filler until the supplies we are waiting on get delivered. All of the local places are closed because of covid, so we have had to do more online shopping than normal.

I guess mid 90s. The dodge work vans. There was a time when there ways always 10 or more at the junk yard not so much anymore. But they were usually high back or gray. Hard to find the black lowbacks that wernt cracked. Mine were all passenger seats I think because they didnt get used. Iv got them in both my jeeps and one extra

O.E.M. part from original manufacture. Just posted to show what that sprocket looked like. It was removed from a 1971 dauntless V6 225 engine
