Picked this up in El Cajon, Ca. today.
Started tearing off the rotted plywood cover, I'll try to get some pictures of the inside tomorrow

Good find! Does it have parking brakes in the wheels?

I need some help to determine what wheels came with the trailer
    One of these

    Two of these
They are narrow. all have 6.00x16 vintage tires on them.

No hub caps on military stuff.
    The tires would have been 7.00 x 16” NDT’s
The wheels would have been KH heavy duty 5” x 16”non creased disks and no hub caps.

Yep, has brakes so military. Someone butchered the lunette and casting sometime in its life though.

That would have to be a very vey small hubcap to work with those clips.
Without any knowledge or evidence to offer up, I say it's not a Jeep wheel.

    Update:
    Inside with top removed

The yellow in the sides is carpet adhesive.

The sides of this trailer are the straightest I have ever owned, one small dent on the right side. The rails are flat and square. Someone has added a flat floor, it is flanged and bolted in with sealer around the perimeter. Looking from underneath I can't see rust holes so far. I am considering leaving as is.

Some of the small diameter hubcaps I have seen have an inner ring of smaller diameter, though I can't say I have seen the inside of any early jeep hubcaps.
    Here's a picture of a Willys hubcap, says 6 3/4" mounting hole

Looking back I'm not sure why I went to such great lengths to replace my Bantam floor with a re-pop. A drop-in flat floor like you describe would have been cheaper, quicker, and hardly even seen. I either had the trailer full or had the tarp on.
