    ran that motor most of high school tell i inadvertently froze it

    went to a bad f head. fought that lil huck o stuffing for 2-3 years.. never got it right. found a worn out flat head

    it was so bad you could shake the pistons in the cylinders..but it did run..wow talk about smoke

    ran it like taht for a year or so. then came my first real shop rebuild.( my experience with the f'er taught me how often you can get away with fakeing it)

    did paint etc while motor was at the shop looked good ran good but something waws wrong..it would overheaat to easy

    towed it to arkansas for school.. thing of beauty but it ran progessivly worse

    after lots of dorm parking lot wwrenchin I realized I had a problem...so it reluctantly yanked the head

    much to my suprise they (the shop) had put the intakes in the exaust hole and visa versa, which caused them to burn UP

    after many many phone calls back to wyoming and some close up photography they reluctantly sent me new vavlves etc

    put um in started it up anr it ran great. kept it as is for like 5-6 years of uniterupted jeep bliss..

    if you dont count the many trans and trans i had to replace..i was a bit poor so it always ment findingg a used one and hoping for the best.. i got real good ant putting them in bymyself though.. i was much stronger than i could never do it now

    so there i was criusing around jonesboro arkansas when i see this jeep for sale. like most you got to be on the lookout

    I had got a hood and a d 18 from an mb i picked up culled and resold i like the mb hood has a cool document holder on the underside of the hood

    any way the jeep was a rickedy 68 cj 5 v6 took a test drive. went 80 in and was hooked,, it appered every ting was going to bolt right up minus the engine mounts

    got it put it in could not believe how much better it was,,and as it turns out my 6 had a dead hole

    took heads had a hole in a piston,, did rings and bad piston rod bearings,, ran worse

    turns out had a bad cam lob.. had it short blocked..NIRVANA absolute NIRVANA

    spun of my little m38 drive shaft replaced with the cj 5 shaft

    the v6 with 5.38's was fun but only had 2 usable gears..love the syncro on T14. got in the habit of shifting into first and stoping the jeep from reverse with big throttle..well that snapped an axel

    on go the cj axels..oh my god I could pass people easy even on the highway.....3.73 lots of fun but now my jeep cant go "SLOW"
