Can someone with an intermediate factory body help me out? I need to know how high the parking brake is above the floor. If someone could please measure from the bottom of the parking brake bracket to the flat part of the floor I would appreciate it. I am installing an original parking brake in my new fiberglass body but I don't know how high to mount it. My old steel body didn't have the mounting bracket either so I can't use it for reference.

This is what I got for my 1974, give or take 1/16" or so. There's some coating on the floor that might add a bit to the 14-1/4" but I think it's negligible. The 3" and 14-1/4" measurements go up from the creases in the sheetmetal. The 3" number is for the center of the lower stud of the parking brake pedal. The 2" wide bracket it mounts to is not square, it angles a little towards the firewall. But the two studs that mount it into the firewall determine there the third bold hole goes anyway. I think this is good enough if you're not looking for micrometer precise numbers.

Dennis, thank you! That is exactly what I needed. Awesome picture. I appreciate your help. I hope to have my "74" back on the road by summer. 14 years down time is enough!
