ok ,so I have a dauntless motor in my 6 with 2 fuel tanks on long, slow trail runs,I have always noticed the the fuel in my under seat tank is boiling.....I have the return line on my manual fuel pump hooked up to avoid vapor lock. I'm sure most of the heat is getting to the fuel through the recirculating fuel ,although I do have Hooker headers that run fairly close to the floor boards... I plan on doubling the steel with a air gap to keep the exhaust heat off that area soon ... now on my Olds, I used to run the fuel through a cool can filled with ice but this won't hold up on a trail just 1/4 mile runs ..... what about a small radiator and fan set up mounted under the jeep where rocks cant get to it,, too crack pipe ???

Use some thermal wrap on the fuel lines also. Use stainless steel for the sheet metal, seems to be a good infra- red reflector.

I have the same type of set up on my 70 V6, minus the headers, and I've never had a fuel boiling problem...

yeah, you don't want boiling liquid gas in any of your tanks. You are probably hearing the return line burbling into the tank. Does the return go all the way to the bottom of the tank or does it end just after entering the tank?
