I'm looking for pictures of early CJ5s with 16inch wheels. Because I'm going to be mounting new tires soon.

No real visual difference from 15", these are 16's.

Correct. Early CJ was an immediate descendant to the M38A1, and 16" was an option.

There are several different rim widths of 16" rims, with the 4 1/2" version probably being the most common. Some of the 16's also have safety beads that lend to being able to run tubeless.

I'm running tubeless tires on my 51 Pontiac and they don't have safety beads you just have to keep the correct amount of air in them and check them before you go for a drive. I think the Jeep 16inch wheels with the safety beads were military only?

If the rims are in good condition you can run tubeless on the stock rims but you air down at your on risk.

They make liquid bead sealer, applied to rim allows a safer air down.
It also works on pitted wheels to stop bead leaks.
Most tire shops can get u a bottle if parts store can't. The good stuff bout 18$.
