I KNEW I should not have opened and read this thread..i knew it! Well done on the build, i must say. Workin on these little bugers is a patience challenge for sure with all those itty bitty parts. Since your keeping it true to form (so to speak) i would look into getting you a set of authentic tires such as MTRs or BFG m/ts. Hobby shops sell them fairly cheap and they look nice for keeping these mini rigs true to nature. I ran boggers and BFG krawlers on my buggies........man i miss them now...

Haha, if I had any of the sets I used to run, i would ship them right over, i have no need for them. Also I just remembered that i have some spare parts left over from my buggies. I have a grip of axle cases and some other odds and ins you are welcome to if you would like.

Mike, I sent Steve a Pm with photos of all the parts I have left over. If you guys want to split them, then you guys work it out and let me know what needs to go to whom. Or I can just send it all to Steve and he can forward you your selections. Also, I hope this isn't considered "thread jacking" which im sure its not, but I wanna play too!!!

All my old gear right before it went bye bye. I had enough parts in that cabinet to build almost 6 complete axle SETS, servos and electronics for 2 additional rigs and enough of the little parts like rod ends, steering components, 3 and 4 link kits already built as well as 3 drawers of different size and shaped bare links etc etc....I miss it now :0(

Nah, it's cool. I'm just messing with you guys. :D You can send it to Steve, he might actually use the stuff. I have good intentions but hardly ever accomplish much.

Can these things run gas? Is there enough gear reduction for it, or would they just go flying over everything? Steve, this thread is one of the coolest projects I have seen in a long time. Totally dig what you have done here.

crawling and mixed fuel no workie , way to hot has to be battery , with the biggest battery I could find to fit under the hood I can go 2 hrs on a charge . thats alot of trail time .other guys can go ALL DAY on a single battery . I treat it like my rig slow low geared some of the other guys are all WAY to fast and then they wonder WHY they snap metal drive lines, axles strip lockers and burn motors.and then I just crawl over them . my T case is gear reduced as well .

I will bring home pics and vids today .

and THANKS for the compliment .!

I have always wanted to try to build a bigger scaled crawler with one of those mini motors I have seen. you know the ones that are a 100% replica of say a sb 327? I even seen one that was a little 4 banger but they are 4 stroke and run just like the big engines do. Now all you need is to find a built mini t18 along with a mini D18/20/300 with some mini dana 60's.....that could be COOL!

nifty. Seems like a really stable unit. thats one thing about how I had mine set up, it was really....swayie or tippy even though i had it super low to the ground. Must have been the oil-less coilovers I ran. I like it!
