Finally got the YJ almost done.
I installed the standard SYE in the jeep, and i got rid of the dana 35 and put a 2WD Toyota 8" rear in place. The toyota axle is a little skinnier , but i am going to run spacers in the back to get it back to looking good. Now i wont be scared on the trail ;) I will regear it all later this summer i hope.

Looks good. First time I have heard putting a Toyota axle under a jeep. Normally people look at dana 44 or ford 9"

They are kind of rare, but toyota had the 8" in the 2WD. the lug pattern is same as wrangler. I knew about them and there just happened to be one for sale locally, and i kept seeing the price go down. And i figured how much aftermarket support they had and they are lightweight. so i went for it. originally i was going to go waggie front and rear but i decided to just to rear, cause i am not going to go bigger than 33s in the forseeable future.
