Rear Diff Yoke & Advice

Hey guys. Pulled my leaky rear diff yoke. There’s a pretty good wear ring on it. Gonna replace it.

What am I looking at on the diff side? Is that whole silver piece the old seal? I’d like to replace it too.

Yup. You should be able to pop that old seal out. I usually pry up a lip and then grab it with a vise grip.

 

Thanks! I’ve been removing other seals with the Engineers’s Method (hammer and screwdriver) but admit that is not the best way. I’ll give your method a try!
