Rear Differential Cross Member

    Okay, so the '74 frame and axles are blasted to near white. They have received a coat of Marine epoxy paint this last weekend. The cross member above the rear axle is thin and has holes in the corners at the frame on both sides. The question is should I replace with aftermarket component or fab a replacement with box tubing? This apparently a common failure area. What have you guys done and some photos of the fix would be appreciated. Thanks.

    If you can weld, fab a replacement.
