    Do it slowly...

Don't want to hammer lock a cylinder...

Get engine good and hot, use a very skinny straw to slurp it in. Have someone in the drivers seat to shut it off while its drinking. Idea is to leave cylinders hot and wet with the stuff. This is the sea foam made for puttting into intake? Or regular stuff? Might be same except for packaging, i wouldnt know.

Seems like putting it in through the carb would be the same thing.

I’ve always just trickled it down the carb. Same way you used to do water or auto transmission oil to clean chambers. Keep the rpm up around 2000-2500rpm.

Yep, through the carb is vacuum too. It's all I've done or seen done.

I use to use a top end cleaner from GM on my Blazer. It was recommend by the factory manual. I poured it down the carb slowly at first and the engine would stall. pour the remaining half in and let it set for 30 minutes or so. Start the engine and it smoked like crazy. I think is was for carbon build up. I always worried about hammer lock, but it never happened. I still worry...
