I got a great deal on this '67 a few months ago and finally got it out to do a full test. No fun riding alone so my son and his friends joined me testing it out in the lot down the street. I had the boys turn the lockers as we put in the T18 into low 4wd. Shifted the TH350 (yes it has an auto tranny) into low and engaged the air lockers. Lot's of engine and steering work but it's finally road worthy. The boys had so much fun they told their mom about it and she bought me a desert trail guide book as a thank you. I'm pretty much going to just keep it running as is replacing parts as they break or leak. I'm going to do a cam, lifters and timing gear in a few months also.

I like it. I haven't done any serious offroading in it so I can't give a full analysis. It shifts pretty snappy on the road though. I can say for sure I like it better than the t90 on the road.

We have some serious offroading very close to the house so pretty soon I'm going to register it and try some more difficult terrain. My background is mostly dirt bikes so there's been a learning curve.

Sounds like a fun toy, have always wheeled and had manual vehicles so I’m curious how it will do in a Jeep application. Just my 2 cents get a trans temp gauge if you don’t have one. I’d image slow crawling type use would get it warm quick.
Dirt bike are a gateway drug haha. I started on dirt bikes as well.

Dual tanks. Looks nicely done, too. Those fenders are curious. At first I thought someone cut off the ends, but then I see the raised band is still there, except higher. Steel or glass? Never saw any like that before.

It's got a trans temp gauge and trans cooler. It's pretty tricked out. I posted a bunch of pictures a while back but had a problem with photobucket.

The previous owner did all the work and it appears he reworked the original fenders and did a great job.

I've seen front fenders like that a couple of times. Both times were here in central eastern Washington. I like the look better than the usual flat fender treatment you typically see today.

The fenders look like the ones on Rick Russell’s cj6

I love the rounded fenders. My 53 fenders seem very flat on the front and I would probably switch to that style if the PO did a complete flat fender chop. I understand clearance could be an issue so I think the way the PO did it is a very nice compromise.
